POWELL RIVER FLY-IN 27 JULY 2013!
The WESTVIEW FLYING CLUB in Powell River is celebrating its 60th ANNIVERSARY!
The club will be hosting a fly-in on Saturday the 27th of July
in conjunction with our city's 50th ANNUAL SEAFAIR.
We invite all Antique Aircraft, Homebuilts, Classics,
fixed and fling-wings to come and enjoy Powell River.
442 Search and Rescue Squadron from CFB Comox will be participating.
Local and visiting vintage cars will hold a Show-and-Shine at the airport.
Camping is welcome.
There will be transportation to the beach for those who would like to visit Seafair.
SEAFAIR:
Parade starts at 1000 hrs, downtown Powell River
At the beach:
Midway and rides
Food and art vendors
Live music all day
Fireworks Saturday night

Westview Flying Club 60th/Powell River Seafair 50th
Fly In guests are welcome for the weekend. Aircraft parking is free and we will make sure you can get down to the beach for the SeaFair celebrations. Lots of food and activities down there!
Seafair gets under way at 10 a.m. with a fly-over of a CP-140 "Aurora" from Comox to open the parade. At the beach is a midway, art and food vendors and live music all day until the fireworks at 10 pm.
The public is invited to the airport from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Antique, vintage, classic and homebuilt aircraft on display.
- Vintage Car Club Show-and-Shine.
If people are interested we will have a BBQ supper at the Club for fly in guests and WFC members. The evening fireworks at the beach are worth staying around for and camping under your wing is available. Our clubhouse will be open with washroom facilities.
